When I took over as the director of Tarab Ling Association, I felt a blessing from His Holiness the Dalai Lama would only inspire the followers, friends and believers of Tarab Rinpoche but it would also boost my energy to take this responsibility. I heard in October that His Holiness the Dalai Lama is teaching is Sarnath, Varanasi in December 2006, which would be right in the middle of our one month Unity in Duality Education in Sarnath and wrote to Lene about the possibility of having an audience with His Holiness and she supported my idea. Since His Holiness tours are not disclosed openly due to security reasons, the time I came to know about the visit it was already too late to seek an audience, as His Holiness has a very busy schedule. But somehow we were very lucky in the end to have our audience.
On the early morning of 21st December 2006, the UD group at Sarnath gathered in front of the big traditional gate of Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies, Sarnath and was showed to His Holiness's place.
It was with great joy and anticipation that the UD group, dressed in their best clothes, hair sitting perfectly and holding their khatas, that they awaited the audience of His Holiness. Many of the Tibetans approached me expressing their unlimited joy at this wonderful opportunity to meet His Holiness. After waiting for about an hour, His Holiness the Dalai Lama came and even His Holiness asked for a group photo. His Holiness was indeed very pleased to meet the group who were studying Tarab Rinpoche's teachings on Tendrel. His Holiness expounded the following important statements:

despite Tarab
Rinpoche's passing away……
I am greatly inspired by Tarab Rinpoche myself….
Please keep the teachings and the spirit of Tarab Rinpoche alive".
His Holiness’ schedule was packed full and there were others who were waiting in their line for audiences. On our way back to our class, everyone, be it western or eastern has their biggest smile on their face.
Before his passing Tarab Tulku Rinpoche asked Lene Handberg apart from continuing the Unity in Duality Education in Europe also to establish it in Tarab-Ling, Dehradun, India. The Unity in Duality Education started already in Dehradun in March 2005. On request of Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche, Kalon Tripa (Prime Minister of the Tibetan Exile Government), yet another 4 year Unity in Duality Training for mainly Tibetans has started in December 2005 in Central Tibetan Institute of Higher Studies in Sarnath, Varanasi. As well as  His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Prof. Samdhong Rinpoche highly estimates Tarab Tulku Rinpoche's work and is whole-hartedly supporting both the Tarab Ling Building Project and the U.D. Education for Tibetans.
