Phase 1:
With the completion of the first phase the institute will have sufficient capacity to function as intended. The phase contains the following:
Development of land, road works, construction of main teaching building, 3 guesthouses, house for teachers and kitchen/dining facilities plus a pavilion for outdoor teaching and physical training. (2076 m2 covered area)
Phase 2:
This Phase contains the following additional functions:
Additional 3 guesthouses, facilities for traditional medicine/yoga and additional staff quarters (approximetly 1200m2 covered area).
Construction works in progress
The sanctioned building plans was fi nally obtained in February 2009 and immediately the initial works for the project was commenced. The institute can be finished in about 2 years provided timely funding. The works is conducted and overs seen by a building committee consisting of the general secretary of Tarab Ling Association, Norbu Wangchuk, the newly appointed project
manager, Prashant Doval, the legal and fi nancial advisor of the society, Jayant Dwarkadas and the Danish Architect Morten
Rolighed.
