TIBETAN PHILOSOPHY / PSYCHOLOGY & PSYCHOTHERAPY, UNITY in DUALITY
Tibetan Psychology and Psychotherapy, Unity in Duality, holistically places psychology and psychotherapy in a close relation with its philosophical foundation. Its foundation being the interrelationship not only of subject / object but also that of body / mind, and matter / 'energy' expressed in the ancient Tibetan Sutras and Tantras.
During the last decade Tarab Tulku has developed an accessible and comprehensive Tibetan psychology and psychotherapy based on the universal aspects of the Tibetan philosophical / psychological tradition. "Unity in Duality" draws from ancient knowledge, yet has been developed into a system ideally suited for addressing the mental problems, which arise from living in our modern western society. ANCIENT TIBETAN DREAM WISDOM
Psychotherapy and Personal Development Unity in Duality
Mastering dream and imaginary states entail opening to profound intuitive insight. Using the ancient dream methods of Tibet, the dream-state (real or imaginary) provides a great opportunity to directly and radically deal with underlying key problems that otherwise unconsciously rule our lives. Methods for dream recollection and entering the lucid state will be introduced to help heal and transform our inadequate mental structures, as well as teach us to cultivate profound intuitive insight. Mastering these methods gives access to our deep inner strength of being. Further explanation
'BODY' / 'MIND' / 'REALITY' INTERRELATIONSHIP - a Unity in Duality approach.
The body with its senses, sets the mental frame of reference. The body-mind, forming an inseparable pair, is within the Tibetan Tantric tradition reckoned to have different functional levels - each determining a specifically related reality, ranging from a conceptually determined reality to the most subtle reality of subject/object unity.
Attempting to heal ourselves we will explore and experience different body-mind and reality levels of existence, slowly touching deeper into this, our natural and sound base. Further explanation
GATE OF DEATH - A KEY TO CREATION
Psychotherapeutic Means - a Unity in Duality approach
Fear arises when identifying with what is subject to change. The process of death and re-birth is rehearsed in the higher tantras as a means of accessing the energetic root of existence. These methods, which Tarab Tulku has made available to us in extracted form, is a means for transforming fears of change and death as well as a means of developing a more balanced, open, and stronger self-experience. MANDALA - BALANCING THE BASIC FORCES OF EXISTENCE
Psychotherapy and Personal Development - Unity in Duality
In this course we are going to explore, enrich & balance the basic forces of existence mentally, physically and energy-wise through contemplation, meditation and spontaneous 'mandala' drawing.
The mandala drawing shows the dominant pattern to heal, to obtain the optimal functioning of the forces basic to our being. The harmonious functioning of the basic life forces are essential and indispensable for a healthy continuation of the existence of the universe and the individual. Further explanation
NEARNESS TO ONESELF AND OPENNESS TO THE WORLD
Love and compassion is related to the ability of being open to oneself and to others. To be open implies to make inner space for experiencing what actually "is", without projecting. The vision we have of the others depends on the relationship we establish with ourselves. Beyond body, thoughts, language and emotions there exist a level of being, which implies the feeling of existing without needing other support than itself. Established in our natural state of being, without need of support from others, we feel strong in ourselves, and can afford to give space to the natural experience of self and others, which in turn decreases projections. REVEALING NATURAL ENERGY RESOURCES
Balancing mental and intuitive energy with each other and creating a free ‘energy’ flow is crucial to create harmony between one-self and the surroundings. Grounding these in the heart centre releases the most profound healing power available to mankind.
Participants will learn how to harness this energy to increase healing ability and powerful intuitive communication skills. Further explanation
'SELF' AND 'SELF-LESSNESS'
Tibetan Psychology and Psychotherapy - a Unity in Duality approach
'Self' entities does not exist in and by themselves a Buddhist tenet. However, when the right components come together, a conventionally existing entity of an interdependent nature appears. 'Selflessness' implies that no ontologically independent self-entity exists. However, any existence, no matter how subtle it may be, always implies a 'self'-reference as its experiential centre. The participants will be led towards this deep understanding through theory and practice, to partake in this our inner wisdom of ourselves, for furthering the original inner strength of being.
TRANSFORMING OF 'SELF'
Ego Death and 'Self' Rebirth - a Unity in Duality approach
The self is the core around which we create our reality, and is thus the key for changing our experience of reality. Tibetan Psychology, Psychotherapy & Self-development U.D. as its basis have the three interdependent unities of body/mind, subject/object and energy/matter.
By acquiring experiential insight into the unities, it is possible to contemplate on their implementation, to experientially explore the possibilities of radically altering the feeling of our-selves, to be more harmonious, open and flexible. Further explanation
UTILIZING EMOTIONS (Emotional Freedom)
Psychotherapy and Personal Development - a Unity in Duality approach
Emotions, being feelings, are not generally differentiated from conceptualisation and most often supported by it, resulting in repression of the pure feeling base.
The emotion, being the protection of weak identification, is an important door to the underlying structure from which it is born. Taking back the focus from the object, entirely paying attention to the subject, unifying with the experience of the emotional feeling, the root of the emotion, the problematic structure can exhaust it-self, and take one through a deathprocess of the weak identification of oneself. In this way the emotion, which in it-self has a certain energy force, instead of being a destructive agent, it can be freed, giving space for creative, constructive and transformational ends.

DZOGCHEN (Essense of Tantra)
"The highest view is without view"
"The highest meditation is without meditation"
"The highest act is without acting"
Dzog-chen is a direct means of contacting our deeper nature, Rig-pa, an intrinsic 'awareness' that is said to have no beginning and no end.
Rigpa - being the very essence of the awakened state consciousness, the dream-state awareness, and the 'awareness' in deep sleep as well as that of the death process - is the base of any experience and very relevant for all of us.
‘Seeing’ this intrinsic nature itself, it is possible to loosen up the fixations in our outer shaky identifications of our-selves, and instead attend to the rich and nurturing nature of being.
